It’s a common practice that we travel to different places, sometimes different cities while sometimes to different states and one of the common problems that we find is the language barrier. When it comes to food, sometimes even the most common eatables have different names in different parts of cities.
Supposedly you are living in a PG/ Hostel and quite naturally you have to communicate about your food tastes to the cook. Thus it is important that you have a better knowledge about the different names, at least for some of the common vegetables.
I thought to make your task a bit easier. For the time being, I have compiled the names of 5 vegetables as they are called in different languages. It isn’t much difficult also and you will easily remember them as you read them. Also, it is also quite interesting to know about the varied names. Not only will your knowledge enrich but you will feel weirdly amused by knowing about these names.
Let's get started..
1. Bottle Gourd
5. Pumpkin or Ash gourd
If you find it enriching, let me know I will collect more of this for you. When you know more of these you can also play that game of ’tujhe pta hai isse kya bolte hai’. So if you can flaunt about the names of few what’s actually wrong with it? What say?
