If you are feeling a little lost on Brexit? Never really understand about it in the first place. You surely would! Here is a simple guide to what is Brexit and how will it be implemented.
What is Brexit…
Brexit simply means British exit from the European Union. European Union is a political and economic union of 28 countries who trade with each other. Countries like France, Italy, Greece, Austria are part of this union. Every country who is a member of this union have to follow certain norms and procedures and they can move in freely from one country to others who are part of that union.
Why and when did Britain decide to leave to EU?
A public vote or referendum was held on Thursday 23 June 2016 for the exit of British from the EU where the people who were in favour of the British leaving the EU were in majority. Thus it was decided that Brexit would happen on 29th March 2019. The reasons for leaving the EU remained many. One of being the immigrants from Eastern Union who are affecting the people of Britain.
What has happened now?
After the British decision to leave the EU discussions and negotiations have been around the corner. A withdraw agreement has been prepared which deals with the process of BREXIT which involves the border conflicts with Northern Island and the Republic of Island which acts a frontier between U.K and EU and monetary dealing as well. Recently, the MP’s of Britain have voted against the withdraw agreement of BREXIT.
What can happen now?
1. Either the date for Brexit would be pushed from 29th March which cannot be stretched beyond 23rd May. It can further lead to cancellation of Brexit further.
2. Britain will go for Brexit with “ NO DEAL” which means without the withdraw agreement which however can have a huge impact.
